I am a machine learning researcher and software engineer, with three years of research experience in deep reinforcement learning and NLP, alongside three years in software engineering.

    • Researched Deep RL at the Moving AI Lab
    • Thesis analyzing TD(λ) and AlphaZero using a strongly solved game as ground truth
  • 2023 - 2024: Research Assistant at SFU's Natlang Lab
  • 2021 - 2023: Software Engineer at Redmane Technology
    • Developed and maintained case management software
  • 2018 - 2021: BSc in Computing Science from SFU

My research interests center on understanding intelligence well enough to build intelligent systems. In particular, I'm interested in model-based methods in deep reinforcement learning, as they allow learning beyond their training data (or from scratch) through efficient exploration and planning.
